There are about 200 university-registered student organizations categorized as: academic; alliance; cause-oriented; community service; dormitory association; fraternity; regional/provincial; religious; special interest; sorority; and sports and recreation. In addition, UPD has 100 college-based student organizations on campus.

These organizations play a vital role in the enhancement of the academic competence, leadership skills, and social well-being of students in Diliman.
